At St. Francis Medical Center, our Foundation symbolizes our faith in the future. We represent what “can be” in our community and what “should be” within the hope and reach of every person – health and wellness. And we can achieve this with you. We can help to ensure that individuals, families, and children, especially those who are sick, poor, or marginalized, have access to the quality, compassionate care they need, and we can do this by saying, “I Will.”
Inspired by the Mission and Values of our sponsors, the Daughters of Charity, who three and a half centuries ago said “I Will” to leading change in health care and advocating for those in need, the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation today says “I Will” to furthering our healing ministry and to advancing health care that is attentive to the whole person – body, mind, and spirit.
Together with your support, “We Will” continue to provide the funding and resources that are vital to the operations, technology, and services extended by St. Francis Medical Center. This includes our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that gives life-saving care to more than 500 sick newborns annually; our Footprints program that makes available new shoes and clothing to nearly 2,000 school children each year; our Health Benefits Resource Center that offers health insurance enrollment assistance and critical social service linkages to thousands of families; and St. Francis Career College that provides vocational nurse training and career paths for students with limited educational opportunities.
Through the leadership of our dedicated and involved Board of Trustees and a highly energetic, creative Foundation team, “We Will” continue to expand our grants program by looking for new revenue streams to complement our development plan. “We will” enhance Planned Giving to ensure the long term sustainability of our organization. “We Will” cultivate enduring relationships that support our Major Gifts goals, and “We Will” continue to trust and appreciate the generous hearts of ongoing and new donors and supporters like you.
I am both humbled and honored to be able to serve our community, a community that is diverse, dynamic, and home to hard-working families with shared hopes and dreams. I invite you to be a part of our family and to learn more about St. Francis Medical Center, our Foundation, and the tremendous work that is done here each day. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to joining you in saying, “I Will.”
