The Foundation held its Annual Christmas Toy Drive in November and December resulting in more than 1,900 toys collected and distributed before Christmas. Approximately 450 families benefited from this year’s toy drive efforts including children treated in our Pediatrics, Emergency and Trauma departments as well as the St. Francis community clinics. Our community program recipients include the Health Benefits Resource Center, Nassau Reading, Footprints, St. Francis Career College, Spiritual Care and Healthy Communities Initiative.

We are proud to report that, thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were also able to provide toys for the entire student body at Mother of Sorrows School in South Los Angeles. All 240 children, ages 4 to 12, received a special gift this Christmas. In addition, many community residents from Lynwood, Compton, South Gate and Paramount received toys after contacting the Foundation to request assistance directly from the Foundation. We were fortunate to have enough toys to give to every single person and family in need.
