2010 toy drive – christmas wishes came true

The annual Christmas Toy Drive, which began in mid-November and concluded on Christmas Eve, was a beautiful example of the love and generosity of our donors. The Foundation received more than 1,500 toys and gifts for the children and teens in our Emergency and Pediatrics Departments, Children’s Counseling Center, Footprints Program, Naseau Reading Program, Health Benefits Resource Center, Post-Partum Unit, Casa De Esperanza, Community Clinics as well as deserving families in our community.
Two major donors this year were Dr. Michael Stephen and his wife Christy who organized a collection at their church, Glendale Adventist, and donated 474 toys to St. Francis. In addition, Daniel and Margie Higgins and contacted the Foundation and made a $3,000 monetary donation to the toy drive which allowed us to purchase grocery gift cards for many families as well as gifts for the 12-18 year olds who are often forgotten during the Christmas season.
The Foundation wishes to acknowledge every donor who helped us make Christmas dreams come true this holiday season. Thank you!
